 中国已进入老龄社会，与发达国家人口老龄化水平城镇高于农村的发展历程不同，我国农村老龄化水平超过城镇，农村老龄问题的压力更为突出。传统的家庭养老模式面临困境，而社会养老在“未富先老”的背景又难以一蹴而就，因此居家养老成为一种具有中国色的养老新模式，社区以其独特的优势成为辅助居家养老的最佳载体。而在各种养老方式中，农村社区养老服务的提供是缓解农村养老压力的一个具有生机和活力的途径，更加贴近农村老年人的生活，也能有效改善农村老年人的生活质量，解决农村老年人居家养老的健康问题。养老配套设施是农村社区养老服务的重要载体，从居家养老健康问题这个视角研究农村社区养老配套设施的规划建设，为新农村的养老设施规划注入了新的活力和视野。
