This paper analyses the traditional voltage regulator of automobile and its disadvantages first, then provides a new method about designing. This new design is based on AT89C51 single-chip microcomputer. And the peripheral circuits include the connection with 0809ADC and photoelectric pair as well as the switching circuit. Meanwhile through the software, the system accomplishes the on-and-off controlling, avoiding the disadvantage of the traditional ones and achieves the anticipated goal of high efficiency, intelligence, and good stability.
