[摘 要] 当前，全球数据库市场竞争非常激烈，主流的Oracle、SQL Server、DB2三足鼎立，还有其他好的小型数据库软件提供商。Oracle数据库是目前对大型的商用关系型数据库之一，与其他数据库相比，他具有体系机构良好，处理数据能力强大，具有很大的可靠性，安全性，便于管理和维护，还具有领先的商业智能。Oracle数据库以其高速、稳定响彻业内，市场份额毋庸置疑。Oracle是数据库市场份额占有率最高的商用数据库，在全球接近50%的市场份额。已经广泛应用于国内的政府部门，电信，金融、保险、能源、店里、交通、科教、石化、航空航天等各行各业。
随着应用系统数据库量的不断增长，业务的增加，访问量的增多等因素，使用Orcle数据库的系统，逐渐出现，响应速度下降，查询速度减缓。Oracle数据库出现了很多性能问题，为了解决这些影响企业发展的因素，Oracle性能优化已经成为核心问题。因此，非常有必要对Orcle的性能进行调整和优化，使系统达到理想和最佳的运行状态。

一、Oracle数据库性能优化的现状，进行优化的目的
（一）Oralce数据库性能优化的概述
性能优化是指进行有针对性的调整改善性能,使得数据库的吞吐量和并发能力最大限度地增加,减少响应时间。为了保证Oracle数据库运行在最佳的性能状态下,在信息系统开发设计之前就应该考虑数据库的优化策略,在设计阶段进行数据库性能优化的成本最低,收益最大。本文主要以Oracle 10g/11g在实际生产运营中的遇到的性能问题，从内存优化、IO规划及优化，SQL优化等方面的调整进行阐述。
