Abstract: The Call of the Wild is a typical Jack London’s work. It briefly introduces the life experience of Jack London and his book The Call of the Wild, and then draws the purpose and significance of this thesis. As we all know, the superman ideology has come into scholar’s eyes now and then. A lot of comments have made on this subject. And many scholars also have written many articles on the other subject—the rule of survival for the fittest. Superman can win everything, but Buck is conquered by the rule of survival for the fittest and turns into a wolf at last. So these themes are conflicting. So someone can hardly see papers putting these two themes together discussing.
 This paper will discuss the themes by analyzing the significance of the existence of the collision and by using the scientific method to solve the conflict and the reasons for its necessity to make readers have a deeper understanding of the novel.

摘  要：《野性的呼唤》是杰克伦敦的成名作品，也是他的代表作之一。本文主要通过介绍杰克伦敦的人生经历以及小说《野性的呼唤》的地位，从而提出写作此文档的目的和意义。众所周知，杰克.伦敦与超人形象是紧密联系在一起的。超人思想就是本文的一个重要主题。然而,适者生存又是小说的另一个重要的主题。超人可以克服所有一切困难，然而巴克又被自然的生存环境所征服转变为狼，在这里，超人思想和适者生存就产生了冲突。就其中单独的一个主题而言，许多学者已经对其进行过无数次的研究，然而对于两个矛盾的主题结合起来研究几乎没有看到过。本文档通过阐述超人思想和适者生存法则在小说中的反映，以及两者的冲突在小说中的具体体现，从而以科学的方法解决冲突存在的原因以及其必要性，让读者能更深一步了解小说的意义。
