《看不见的人》中的种族歧视

摘    要
 本研究的主要对象是《看不见的人》中所表现出来的种族歧视。首先说明种族歧视的含义和发展，然后具体解读小说中的种族歧视。作者通过对主人公及其他人物的刻画和对一些近似于荒诞场景的描写来表现美国社会的种族歧视，使人们真正意识到美国黑人在白人主宰的社会中已处于无形的境遇。黑人处于这样的境遇有多方面原因。一方面受到白人的压迫，另一方面黑人自己看不起自己，最后美国政府执法不严，使法律只是在白纸上的文字而已。黑人想要得到应有的权利，他们首先得靠自己，团结一切可以团结的力量和不平等势力作斗争。

ABSTRACT
 The main object of this paper is to study racial discrimination in Invisible Man. First of all, the paper will study the meaning of racial discrimination and its development. Finally, select three fragments from the novel to make a concrete analysis of the racial discrimination. The writer describes some similar absurd scene to show racial discrimination in American society to make people really aware of African Americans in white-dominated society. Why blacks are invisible in America? There are many reasons. First, because of the oppression of whites, then because of blacks look down on themselves, and finally because the U.S. government does not strictly enforced the law, and makes the law become the words on the paper. If blacks want to get their rights, they must rely on themselves, and unite together to fight against the force of inequality.
