从《人性的枷锁》分析人性的特点

摘    要
 毛姆是20世纪英国文坛乃至世界文坛的一个奇迹，一生中创作了大量雅俗
共赏的文章。而其代表作《人性的枷锁》更是因其独特的魅力受到了国内外文学作家和评论家的推崇和赞许。本文首先通过分析《人性的枷锁》中主人公菲利普在情感、事业及生活中的种种行为表现和性格，得出人性具有矛盾性、不确定性和双重性等特点；其次，从本能、环境和个人经历三方面分析人性点特之成因。

ABSTRACT
 Maugham was a miracle of British literature and even of world literature in the 20th century. He created a large number of works during his lifetime. Of Human Bondage is his masterpiece, which has been highly praised by writers and literary critics. In this thesis, the author tries to explore characteristics of human nature according to hero Phillip’s behaviors, namely duality of human nature, contradictions of human nature and uncertainty of human nature. Furthermore, the author chooses to seek for the reason in the light of human instincts, personal experiences and social background.
