晚清洋泾浜英语特征分析

摘    要
 在当今经济全球化背景下，国际间交流日趋频繁。英语作为一种世界交际语言发挥着越来越重要的作用。英语在刚传入中国时被称为洋泾浜英语。它作为一种中英交际语言产生于17世纪的广州。洋泾浜英语在中国曾经存在了三个世纪之久，在近代对外贸易、外交和文化接触中扮演了重要的角色。因此，有必要对洋泾浜英语的起源和发展进行回顾，并对洋泾浜英语和标准英语在语音、词汇以及语法方面的差异分析，归纳出洋泾浜英语的特点，以期有助于学界更好地了解在特定历史条件下洋泾浜英语的特点及其对当时中外交流所产生深远影响。

ABSTRACT
 In the current background of economic globalization, international exchanges and cooperation between nations become more and more frequent. As a global language, English plays an important role. Pidgin English was a modified form of English developed in the 17th century as a trade language or lingua franca, which was used by foreigners and Chinese in the coastal ports. It has existed in China for almost three hundred years, making contribution to external trade, diplomacy and cultural communication. On the basis of tracing the origin and background of Pidgin English, the paper focused on the analysis of the differences between Standard English and Pidgin English on pronunciation, vocabulary and the grammar, and sum up the characteristics of Pidgin English with an aim of illustrating the significance and function of Pidgin English under that special circumstance.
