霍桑的罪恶观在《红字》中的体现

摘    要
 本文首先通过研读国内外对霍桑罪恶观的研究成果，再结合一般意义上对罪与恶的定义对霍桑的罪恶观进行概括性分析，然后将原著《红字》及其译本作为该研究的语料来源，分析霍桑的罪恶观在小说中四个主人公身上的体现，最后从家庭和社会两方面探索出影响其思想形成的因素。本研究旨在揭示霍桑的罪与恶思想在《红字》中的体现，从而加深读者对该作品的理解与赏析。

ABSTRACT
 This paper first studies the previous researches about Hawthorne’s view on sin and evil at home and abroad, and then combines the universal definition of sin and evil to make a general analysis of Hawthorne’s view on sin and evil. Regarding the original novel The Scarlet Letter and its translation as the material source, it then respectively elaborates Hawthorne’s view on sin and evil showing on four main characters in this novel. It finally explores the influencing factors which exerted great influence on the formation of Hawthorne’s view from social aspect and family aspect. It aims to elaborate Hawthorne’s view on sin and evil in The Scarlet Letter so as to enable readers to deeply understand and appreciate Hawthorne’s novels.
