Abstract: In the 1960s, under the influence of The Beatles band, American rock began to regain vitality, which set off a new upsurge on the history of rock music. The Beatles enriched and developed rock music, affecting a generation of art appreciation, clothing, hair style, life-style and attitude towards life. This paper analyzes the historical background of rock music, introduces the emergence and development of the Beatles, and explains the influence of rock music, stressing on the historical role of the Beatles and the social significance of the rock spirit.

摘  要：20世纪60年代,在“披头士”乐队的影响下，美国正趋消散的摇滚乐开始重获生机，由此掀起了摇滚乐历史上一次新的高潮。“披头士”继承了摇滚乐前十年的成果，以自己的创造和革新丰富和发展了摇滚乐，将其推到了一个新的历史阶段。从此，摇滚乐不再只是一种单纯的娱乐音乐，具备了更多的让人思考的内涵，其歌声影响了一代人的艺术趣味、服装发式、生活方式和人生态度。本文分析摇滚产生的历史背景，阐释披头士的兴起和发展，强调其在摇滚历史上的地位，并总结摇滚精神的社会作用。
