新闻报道的批评性话语分析：      以《 中国日报》和《时代周刊》为例

摘    要
 研究表明，新闻语篇并非不偏不倚地反映客观现实，批评性语篇分析是揭示语言和意识形态关系的有力工具。本文以韩礼德的系统功能语法作为分析框架，对选自不同报纸的新闻报道进行了对比分析，以阐明语篇结构背后所隐藏的社会意识形态背景。对于所选两篇分别来自《中国日报》和《时代周刊》有关西藏问题的报道，本文从及物性角度对其进行了分析。
 本文强调要重点培养语言学习特别是新闻阅读过程中的批评语言意识，熟悉新闻报刊中常用的语言策略，从而提高批评阅读能力，增强对新闻媒体的反控制意识。

ABSTRACT
    Findings of the present study reveal that the framework of CDA is a powerful instrument to uncover the relationship between language and ideology. Based on Halliday’s systemic-functional grammar, the present thesis carries out a comparative critical analysis of news reports from different sources on the same event with a view to identify diverse ideologies hidden in news discourse. Samples for analysis are two English news reports concerning the Tibet issue extracted from China Daily and Time respectively. The present analysis is carried out from the transitivity perspective.
    The findings of this research point out the need to raise critical language awareness in language learning in general and news reading in particular, so that individuals will be able to read critically and set free from unjustified ideological manipulation. It is suggested that language teaching should be targeted at promoting critical reading skills to make sure that students are familiar with some naturalized linguistic strategies which are applied in news reports reflecting the underlying ideologies.
