摘要
服制是指中国封建社会以丧服规定亲属范围指示亲等即亲属关系亲疏远近的制度。它是封建法律的重要组成部分，是封建统治阶级用以调整民事法律关系并用作刑事法律上判罪定刑的一个标准。服制原则在晋代首次入律，并且在历代得以延续发展，唐律是丧服法律化的最好范本，明、清将其置于法典的篇首。本文以唐律为重点，以一斑窥全豹，介绍和分析服制在中国古代法典中的体现和社会作用以及对古今的意义。

ABSTRACT
