Many people are committed to the study of the teleology of American TV subtitle translation. But very few people are committed to studying the impact of humorous subtitle translation on film and television production. Later, I will analyze the humorous lines translated in the Big Bang. But first, let me provide some background knowledge first.

"The Big Bang Theory" is one of the most popular sitcoms in the United States and the world in recent years. After the end of the 12th season, it still maintains the highest ratings. It is undoubtedly a great success. It has also been introduced and played by many countries and regions including China, and has received the same warm welcome and enthusiasm in these countries. Against the backdrop of Pasadena, California, the show depicts the daily lives of four super-genius melons and a neighboring blonde girl.

In recent years, a large number of Western film and television works have flooded into China, so the study of subtitle translation came into being and became a new research field. Due to the differences between Chinese and Western cultures, subtitle translation plays an increasingly important role in cross-cultural communication. The success of the "The Big Bang Theory" is undoubtedly inseparable from the efforts of subtitle translators. J Just as Wu Qi and Yin Xiao'an in The Application of Translation Teleology in Subtitle Translation - in the American Drama "The Big Bang Theory" as an Example, it is believed that the translation of humor dialogue in the sitcom plays to the target audience to watch the whole comedy until Close important role. However, in the lack of research on the subtitle translation of "The Big Bang Theory", Yang Jianying affirmed the achievements of the subtitle translators, but also pointed out that there are still many problems. For example, she mentioned that subtitle translators neglected the role that translation needs to convey culture and reflect exotic customs.

All in all, all of the above studies have provided valuable insights into the field of subtitle translation. But I think that some of the translations in the play combine the cultural background and social background of the target audience and retain the American humor, which provides a good understanding and translation meaning for the Chinese audience. Therefore, I will cite the extremely humorous scenes in the play to analyze the divine translation in "The Big Bang Theory".
