Abstract

Charlotte Bronte is an outstanding woman writer in the 19th century English literature, her novel Jane Eyre has been regarded as the classics of the English literature due to its unique content and way of expression. Since the novel has been published, it has attracted the attention of generation after generation. Although Charlotte Bronte is a poverty, little and humble girl, she adheres to follow her heart to struggle the society and final she contributes a famous literature novel for the world. The novel like a light to guide many girls cross blind time in their life and to establish their correct life and love values.
Jane Eyre is a girl who has strong will and pursue independence, she is a woman who never give up whatever under any troubles and pressures. She is optimistic girl although her parents have gone away while she is a little child. It is because of Jane’s special and noble character that attracts Rochester’s deeply, while Jane falls in love with Rochester not because of his wealth and social status, but his Talent. Jane pursue pure and special love, and it was nothing to do with other elements. Jane also is a self-esteem and self-love girl. She leaves her lover with unbearable pain when she knows that Rochester’s wife still alive upstairs in the Thornfied Hall. She would rather take sorrow by herself than leaves that to another woman. Later, a fire ruin everything of Rochester including his legal wife, he loses most of his glamour which many girls are longing for, he is a disabled man with nothing. However, Jane not only leaves him alone but also stays with him and cares him as her only lover. She chooses to share ups and downs with Rochester. In her life, Jane pursues a pure and beautiful love, which shows to us what true love is, and makes us know the true meaning of love.
This paper reveals the woman’s love view totally has been changed since Victorian time. In a marriage, a woman is no longer always an accessory of her husband. She needs to be respected and loved same as a man. In today’s world with rapid economic development, unfortunately, women’s consciousness on love view is signs of historical of regression. A girl prefers to desire luxurious house and car than a potential boy. “A girl would rather cry in a BMW car than smile on a bicycle.” Many young girls want to marry to a man who have wealth and society status but without love, even not care the man married or not. The phenomenon become very popular. It is necessary to encourage young girls re-read classics like Jan Eyre and so on. Hope self-esteem and pure love view will back to the world and love always lives in mankind’s hearts.

Introduction

A brief introduction of Charlotte Bronte
Charlotte Bronte was born in Thornton, Yorkshire in 1816. In 1820, when Charlotte was four years old, the family moved to Haworth, a remote and gloomy village in the Yorkshire moors. Soon after they moved there, the mother died, leaving five girls and one boy to be taken by her sister. But the aunt was no substitute for their mother, so the children ran wild upon the moors, read literature and childish stories.
Charlotte’s book, The Professor, was based on her experiences in Brussels. Unfortunately, it was rejected by publishers and was not published until after her death. But her next novel, Jane Eyre, published in 1847, was an immediate success with both readers and critics. It is Charlotte’s best literary production. She also wrote two other novels, Shirley, and Villette.
In Brussels, as a governess, Charlotte was falling in love with her married employer, Monsieur Heger. But he didn’t accept her love. She spent long time out of the sadness. In 1854, Charlotte married her father’s curate A. B. Nicholls, but she died a few months later.
